A Wonderful Gift Received

I keep forgetting to tell you just how much I appreciate that bottle warmer you gave me. It has had a myriad of uses, if just because of it's size and the fact that it's insulated. While Hannah was still 100% breastfed I just used it to take milk to the playground for the Mum's for morning coffees (obviously with an ice pack in it instead of the heat pack!). Now that she's weaned (well, almost ...) I can put the ice pack in it to keep her milk cold, and take the heat pack along for when I need to warm the milk up and can't find a microwave handy!

Today’s Lunch Menu... the PortaChair

Dear BambinOz, I have worked in child care for over 6 years. Our childcare centre has been using your fabulous PortaChair for 3 weeks now in our nursery. I find the chairs are easy to assemble and best of all machine washable. Unlike the other table top chairs, we can actually get the covers very clean, which make the staff and families very happy. We have two sets of chairs that we use with our kids so we can always have one set available while the second set is in the laundry. This means the children can explore their food, and we are not worried about the mess. The children feel very secure in the PortaChair and this allows them to socialize at a table with their peers, rather than being isolated in a high chair.

Use the Instant Bottle Warmer...

I was very impressed with this bottle warmer. I was going to be flying, alone, with my 11 month old baby and was starting to worry about how I was going to warm his bottle on the plane! Then, I was introduced to the BambinOz Bottle Warmer. No cords, no batteries, no fuss! I just had to snap a little disc, wrap the heating pad around my bottle, and place in the little insulated bag. I allowed the bottle to heat up for about 10 minutes. The water was actually pretty warm! Another time, I allowed the bottle to heat up for about 20 minutes and the water was actually hot! The heating pad is very big. We use really wide bottles, so I was somewhat concerned that our bottles would not fit in the bag or in the heating pad. The bottles fit perfectly! It was also pretty easy to recharge the heating pad. I just boiled the pad and let it cool. My only "hang-up" with this bottle warmer is that it took a really long time for the heating pad to be completely cooled and ready to use again. Next time I have a long trip, I will make sure to recharge the pad the day before I need to actually use it. This gets an Alaskan Mom Approval. It is an ingenious piece of gear that can be used indefinitely, can grow with your child and prevent a total child meltdown! It is well priced and sturdy (my one year old tested this factor). Buy one for you, one for the kids and one for a gift!

"We loved using the Porta Chair on a trip last week to the west coast with our 7 month old daughter. She recently started eating solid foods and we found it incredibly helpful to have the Porta Chair chair with us. We must of used it on 10 different style chairs over the course of the trip - from hotel rooms, to friends homes, to the cafes of San Francisco, to the vineyards of Napa, to the beaches of Monterey and the streets of Hollywood.
